This trip is for Geography, A Level Students.

This three-day trip to the Field Studies Council in Exmoor offers A Level Geography students an excellent opportunity to develop their fieldwork skills and gain valuable support with the NEA (coursework) component of their course. Students will receive expert tuition on how to collect and analyse data, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the highest possible grades. The course covers three key areas: Regeneration Projects, Coastal Systems and Woodland Carbon Storage, with each module providing straightforward, supported templates that students can use to guide their own coursework. The course is fully inclusive, with all meals and tuition materials provided. Students will stay at Nettlecombe Court, a former stately home now converted into a Field Studies Centre. For those considering further study in Geography or environment-related subjects, this trip also provides a valuable introduction to university-style field courses.
Activities include:
Day 1: Study of regeneration projects in Taunton.
Day 2: Investigation of coastal processes at Porlock Bay.
Day 3: Study of woodland carbon storage at Nettlecombe Court.

Departing 9am on 22 March 2027 and returning at 3.30pm, 24 March 2027.

Please make arrangements for any travel to and from the college outside the normal bus timetable.

Bring a packed lunch for day 1 or food will be available to buy in Taunton town centre.
