A visit to Numatic International in Chard will enable our Extended Diploma BTEC Engineering students to see engineering principles applied in a real manufacturing environment. Students will observe production processes, quality assurance, health and safety practices, and continuous improvement techniques, supporting learning in units such as Engineering Principles, Engineering Product Design and Manufacture, and Mechanical Engineering Technologies. The visit will help students link classroom theory to industry practice, develop their understanding of engineering careers, and enhance their employability skills through exposure to a professional engineering workplace.
