Exeter College - 2026 - AD - A-Level Graphics Y2 Bristol ESSENTIAL

2026 - AD - A-Level Graphics Y2 Bristol ESSENTIAL

Year 2 A Level Graphic Communication students will visit Bristol to support the development of their individual Personal Investigation projects through a combination of primary and secondary research. Students will visit the Royal West of England Academy Annual Open Exhibition, providing an opportunity to explore and document a broad range of contemporary creative work, as well as conducting independent visual research around Bristol city centre.

Students will also take part in a practical street art and graffiti workshop with Where the Wall. This will include exploring Bristol's street art and Banksy's connection to the city, alongside hands-on stencil spray painting and graffiti style-writing activities. Students will create their own work while developing an understanding of the techniques, visual language and cultural context of street art.

The trip is designed to encourage students to gather original visual material, experience creative work first-hand and use this research to inform experimentation and the ongoing development of their own Graphic Communication projects.

ALL YEAR 2 GRAPHICS A-LEVEL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS TRIP.
The College will cover the cost for Band A Bursary students only. All other students will need to pay for their place.
