The Music Scholarship Programme gives students the opportunity to learn to play an Orchestral instrument with the guidance of a professional Musician, as well as to hire an instrument for the academic year to support their practise outside of school. Students will learn to play and perform on their instrument as part of a wider Hampton Trust Orchestra. We welcome all levels of abilities including complete beginners.
The cost of the Scholarship is only £45 for the whole year which includes hire of the instrument and helps us cover replacement reeds or strings throughout the year.
As this is a heavily subsidised programme where students hire an instrument, we do expect some level of responsibility in the care and maintenance of instruments throughout the year.
