HOUSE DANCE COMPETITION 30th April 2026

Dear Parent/Carer,

Rescheduled AMS House Dance Competition 2026.

This term in Dance, the students have been preparing to 'battle it outâ€ to win the House Dance Cup! The students have been practicing their choreography as a soloist or a group performer. At the House Dance Competition they will have the opportunity to perform in front of family, friends and relatives. We would be delighted if you were able to come and join us in supporting our young people and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

The competition is taking place in our Performing Arts Theatre on Thursday 30TH April 2026 from 5:30pm until 7:30pm in the Theatre. If there are any students who would like to sign up there is a sign-up sheet outside the Performing Arts Office. Students can sign up for Key Stage 3 & 4 Solos or Group categories as well as a Mixed House Category. Rehearsals are every Wednesday after school.

On the day of the competition, the participating students will be off timetable during Period 1 & 2 and from Tutor time until the end of school day to rehearse their performance and a technical session to sort out their lighting requirements. Students should arrive for the afternoon in their school uniform, bringing a spare change of non-uniform clothing along with their costumes (if they have one) to use and change into later in the afternoon.

The House Dance Competition is a ticketed event, and the entry fee is just £1.00. These funds will go towards future trips and projects within the Performing Arts Department. Tickets will be available to purchase through your Wisepay account and there may be a small number of tickets on the door but the easiest way to secure your ticket is through Wisepay. Please note, that if you bought a ticket for the postponed House Dance Competition earlier this month, your ticket will be transferred to the new date.
