Robert May`s School - House Charity Zorbing

Students have been working very hard throughout the year to organise different fundraising events for their prospective charities and I am very excited to offer another fantastic event. This zorbing event will donate 100% of the profits to Crown House's Charity, Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones supports children and young people with down syndrome to help fulfil their potential.
We will have groups of 15 students at a time competing in zorbing games for 25 minutes on the school field. The event will be run at school on Wednesday 13th May, during the school day. Students taking part will wear their PE kit for the day.
The cost for one game per student is a minimum of £10, if you would like to donate more than this amount to support Stepping Stones, that would be gratefully received.
The number of places available is limited. If the trip is oversubscribed we will allocate places, after the closing date, by random selection, all names will be allocated a random number and a waiting list of unsuccessful applicants will be kept. For further information on this, please see our Educational Trips and Visits Place Management Criteria. If you are unsuccessful in the random allocation, we will arrange a refund of your payment.
Please discuss this event with your child and if they would like to participate, complete the consent and payment on Wisepay by 9am, Monday 23rd February. If you have applied for Financial support, please still complete consent on Wisepay. We will notify Parents/Carers whether their student has been successful shortly after the deadline. Game times will be allocated closer to the event.
Financial support may be available to eligible families to help meet the cost of this event. If you wish to apply for this support, please apply for a place on the trip via the link above and also complete the financial support application form which can be found here. Once completed, please return it to the Finance Department by email: [email protected] or hand to Reception. If you require a paper copy of the form or have any queries regarding its completion, please contact your child's Head of Year.
Payments made are non-refundable, a refund may be approved by the headteacher where a replacement student is successfully allocated to fill your child's place. Please refer to our Charging and Remissions Policy for more information.
As with all our events it is absolutely vital that students behave in an exemplary manner at all times. Students being offered a place at this event must exhibit continuing excellent attendance, effort, attitude and behaviour across all subjects at school or their place may be at risk, any payments made will not be refundable.
