Quiz Night - Friday 6th February 2026 - Chance to Shine

We are delighted to invite Families and Staff of Oakhyrst Grange School to a special Fundraising Quiz Night on Friday, 6th February, held in the school's Cameron Hall.

Our very own Mr Smith will be running the London Marathon in April 2026, raising funds for Chance to Shine, a cricket-based charity working across the UK. Chance to Shine inspires young people through cricket - helping them develop not only sporting skills, but also vital life skills that support wellbeing, confidence and personal growth.

This fun-filled evening promises friendly competition, great food, and, most importantly, the chance to support a wonderful cause. Tickets are £15, which includes a delicious fish and chip supper (with a choice of cod, veggie burger, chicken or sausages) freshly prepared and served on site from a traditional fish and chip van in the school car park. £5 for every ticket sold, which is the full profit after the fish and chips costs, will go directly to charity.

Chance to Shine reaches over half a million children each year in state schools, opening doors to opportunities many may not otherwise experience. Mr Smith has chosen this charity because of his own past experiences working with Chance to Shine during his time in previous schools, where he witnessed firsthand the positive impact the charity has on children. And, of course, as a huge cricket fan, he is thrilled to be supporting a cause so close to his heart.
