Dear Parents,
I am delighted to be writing with details of our Lincoln Minster Christmas Fair, which is an event for pupils and parents that we are holding on the afternoon of the last day of term; Friday 12th December from 12:30pm for Prep Pupils and from 1:30pm for Senior Pupils. The fair will include a wonderful array of activities, games, stalls and inflatables. These include stallholders selling Christmas crafts as well as a variety of food and drink. It should be fantastic way to end the term!
In order to make it a successful event, please note the following points.
Tickets: Adult tickets are £2.50 but children do not need a ticket to attend. If you would like you child to visit to Santa, this will cost £5 and will include a gift, spaces are limited and do need to be booked in advance. Tokens for the rides and games are available to purchase in advance on Wisepay and will also be available on the day to purchase and during school break times at the Senior school in Room 315 in bundles of £10, £20 and £30 by cash only. Activities will cost between £1 and £5 although food vendors and external stall holders may accept card payments at their discretion. Pupils who prefer a quieter afternoon will be able to watch a Christmas film with staff in the Recital Hall.
Permission for attractions: Please indicate on WisePay if you are happy to give permission for your child to participate in all of the attractions, which will of course be closely supervised and professionally operated by the Fun Firm. Please get in touch if you would like a full list. Your child will not be able to participate in the Christmas Fair if we do not have your permission for them to attend by 4pm on Wednesday 10th December.
School Day Timings: Senior school timings remain the same as normal and the collection and drop off times remain the same, school buses will depart from Prior as usual at 4pm and students will be released at this time.
Clothing: Friday 12th December will be a non-uniform day. Students need to wrap up warm for the Fair as parts of it are outside, and they will need to wear flat shoes for the activities in the Sports Hall.
Please note that Prep will be writing separately with further details regarding pick up and supervision of Prep children.
I would like to thank FOLMS for their fantastic donation of funds to support and facilitate this event and all the staff who are hard at work to bring everything together for a great afternoon. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you at our Senior Winter Concert on Monday 8th December and our Cathedral Service on Tuesday 9th December.
Yours sincerely,
Lydia Robinson
