If we raise enough funds to make this event worthwhile, on Friday 19 December, the last day of the autumn
term, we may hold a Dress Down Day with a Christmas theme;
We encourage everyone to wear a Christmas-style jumper as funds raised will be donated to the For Jimmy
Foundation as part of their Jumpers for Jimmy campaign. I am sure you are aware of the close link we have
with this wonderful charity and why we support it annually:
Following the murder of 16-year-old Jimmy Mizen in May 2008, the Mizen family has been determined to
focus on two outcomes: they will not be beaten by his death, and something good will come from it. Since
the charity was founded, the Mizen Foundation, has worked tirelessly to create a legacy of peace in Jimmy's
name, helping young people to fulfil their potential creating safer and peaceful communities.
Whilst the aim of this event is to raise funds, we are mindful that some students wishing to join the event
may not be in a position to make a donation; it is not compulsory that they do so.
The cut off date to make your donation will be Friday 12 December when a decision will be made if the
event will be going ahead.
There are two donation options for you to choose from on Wisepay, a suggested donation of £1.00 or any
other amount you wish to donate, alternatively your child can donate cash to their form tutor.
