Ski Trip France December 2026
Ski Trip France December 2026
Ski Trip France December 2026
We invite your daughter (currently in Years 10, 11 or 12) to take part in our first Upper School Tormead Ski Trip to the world famous Alpe d'Heuz in France.

The Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine is one of France's premier ski areas, offering over 250 km of pistes, with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year. The terrain is vast and varied, catering to everyone from complete beginners to experts. For the advanced skiers one of its standout features is the Sarenne, the longest black run in Europe, stretching a challenging 16 km from the Pic Blanc summit down to the valley floor.

The trip will depart on Saturday 12 December and return on Saturday 19 December 2026. We will be travelling by air from Gatwick or Heathrow Airport. Flight times will be provided at a later date, but you will need to be able to drop off and pick up your child directly from the airport.

The cost of the trip will be approximately £1,710 depending on the final number of students attending. Please be aware that the price may change once we know exactly how many pupils take up a place. Please also note that there is a threshold number needed for the trip to be viable, if this is not reached the trip will be cancelled and your deposit returned.

The cost of the trip includes:

* Return air travel and transport to Alpe d'Heuz
* Accommodation and all meals (from evening meal on the 1st day to breakfast on departure day)
* 6-day lift pass
* 5 hours of specialist ski tuition per day
* 6 days' hire of all equipment including helmets
* A selection of evening activities (these will be confirmed nearer to the departure date but are likely to include rail sledging, ice skating, pizza night)
* Tormead ski trip hoodie
* Travel insurance through the school's annual policy

Students will need to bring additional money for drinks with lunch and dinner, and for shopping.

There is a maximum of 40 spaces available for this trip and places will be issued on a first come, first served basis. The trip will go live on WisePay on Monday 1 December 2025. Should all places be taken, please email [email protected] to place your daughter on the waiting list.

The payment plan for the trip will be:

* £250.00 due by Wednesday 10 December 2025. You are also required to give consent for your daughter to attend by this date.
* £425.00 by Friday 30 January 2026
* £425.00 by Friday 27 March 2026
* £350.00 by Friday 29 May 2026
* £260.00 by Friday 26 June 2026

There will be an information evening for all pupils attending the trip and their parents closer to the time.
