MainMUN Conference - Frankfurt 2026

We are delighted to announce that we will be sending a Model United Nations delegation to the MainMUN conference in Frankfurt. This is a unique opportunity for students to attend an international university-level MUN conference, designed to enhance the students' debating and advocacy skills on a range of key global issues. Students will stay in a hostel accommodation in central Frankfurt and will have the opportunity to explore the city, as well as take part in evening social activities with their fellow delegates, including an opening reception, a formal dinner and a 'Delegates' Dance.

The trip is estimated to cost between £300-£350 to cover the following:

Delegate fee, covering:

1. Participation in the conference and access to resources for preparation

2. Lunch and dinners at the conference venue

3. Evening social events booked by the conference organisers

4Â· Catering and participation for staff chaperones

5Â· Return flights and airport transfers

6Â· Coach transfer from Exeter City Centre to Heathrow Airport

7Â· Airport parking

8Â· Accommodation in a central Frankfurt (including breakfast)

We are unable to accommodate all expenses within the estimated £300-£350 overview. Below is a list of expenses that will be incurred as well as the overview price stated above:

1Â· Money for group tickets on public transport (amount TBC)

2Â· General expenses for personal shopping on the trip

To secure your place on this trip, you will need to pay an initial £100 deposit to cover your delegate fee. This will be available to pay on WisePay. This is non-refundable deposit unless there is insufficient interest for the trip. We require this deposit by this Thursday (4th December). Once we have an idea of final numbers, we will be requiring a second payment by 12thÂ December to secure accommodation and travel costs.

We will be monitoring announcements linked to the rollout of the ETIAS scheme in the coming months (Â travel authorisation for non-EU citizens) and will provide more information if it will apply to us. We would also strongly recommend that all students are in possession of a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) as a means of accessing state provided medical care (if needed) on the trip. The trip is open to regular participants of the Exeter College MUN society, regardless of their studied subjects.
