BFI London - 'Amy' Documentary Trip (92) 08 January 2026

This trip is for AL Film Studies Students

The BFI Study Day will support student's analysis of the Component 2' 'Documentary' topic in which
student's focus film is Asif Kapadia's 'Amy' (2015).

The day includes an extensive introduction, which focuses on the blurred lines between documentary and fiction
forms, the chance to watch the film on the big screen and the rare opportunity to ask a relevant film maker
questions about their films and the film making process.
In the past we have been thrilled to welcome Asif Kapadia and Nick Shymansky to the event and enjoyed
inspiring and illuminating interviews and Q&A sessions.

Our in-venue events take place in one of the BFI's auditoriums where school groups are encouraged to
engage with learning activities and supported to share their thoughts and ideas helping to build confidence and
deepen understanding.

Leaving college at 7.15am and returning at 10.45pm.

Please make travel arrangement to and from college outside of the normal bus timetable.

Cost £75.00

Deposit :- £30 to be paid by 22 October 2025.

Instalment 1 £45.00 to be paid by 05 November 2025.

Please bring a packed lunch or food will be available to buy. Please note the cost of this trip does not include
lunch or an evening meal.

Bursary students - you must pay the deposit on Wisepay and you can then use your trip allocation towards the remaining balance. Please call to Student Journey and complete a trip form to pay part of the balance using your Bursary.
