MAS Y1 Environmental Trip to Woodbury Common and River Otterton - ESSENTIAL Trip

An essential part of the Year 1 Environmental Science is gaining first-hand experience in a wide range of fieldwork sampling methods. To meet the requirements of the specification, students need to experience collecting samples in the field and using lab techniques to undertake standardised analysis of the samples. To further develop these areas of skill, we will be visiting Woodbury Common, near Exeter, to undertake vegetative sampling and tributaries of the River Otter, at Otterton, to take water samples. This trip will require some absence from other subject lessons and will be authorised as an educational visit.
