About the show:
The great detective is back for another adventure in this world premiere from the team behind Blackeyed Theatre's hugely successful productions of The Valley of Fear and The Sign of Four.
London, 1901. As the British Empire wages war in the name of a Queen whose health is failing, a series of mysterious events reveals a crack in the high corridors of power. A crack that threatens to destabilise monarchy, government, and Empire. And at its centre, controlling the flow of information and influence, a shadowy figure plans a final deadly move.
Drawn into the game and unsure who to trust, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson find themselves confronting figures from their past in a desperate race against time, aware that the most powerful person in the world could be in the pocket of one of the most corrupt. But just how much is Holmes willing to sacrifice as he faces 'checkmate'?
A thrilling adventure based on the work of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes: The Hunt for Moriarty combines powerful performances, a haunting soundscape and innovative design for an exhilarating theatrical experience.
In order to avoid additional costs for transport, the decision has been made for you to drop your child off at the Haymarket Theatre, Wote Street, Basingstoke RG21 7NW and to collect your child promptly after the show. The show starts at 7.30pm and we request that all students arrive at the theatre by 7.00pm at the latest in order for accompanying staff to show them to their seats. On arrival students must be accompanied by a parent/carer and be signed in with Mrs Rebbettes outside the theatre entrance.
Pick up is in the Foyer at 10.15pm. Please allow the rest of the audience to exit before coming in, as we will exit last. Parents/carers must come to Mrs Rebbettes and sign out their child before they are allowed to leave. No child will be allowed to leave the theatre unaccompanied. Students do not need to wear school uniform.
As with all our visits it is absolutely vital that students behave in an exemplary manner at all times. They must exhibit continuing excellent attendance, effort, attitude and behaviour across all subjects at school or their place may be at risk, students must also adhere to our Trips & Events Behaviour contract.
