London Trip 2026
Dear Parent/Guardian, 1 September 2025
It is our aim as a creative faculty to provide students with opportunities to enhance their learning of visual culture as well as prepare them for further study or employment. We are planning a residential trip to London Thursday 29th ' 31st January 2026 (subject to change, but roughly around this time). In the past these trips have been valuable for students to view a broader perspective on arts and culture, as well as an opportunity to collect primary images and research for A-level projects. Students will also be able to experience London - as we visit a range of galleries and historical sites.
To facilitate the trip we are setting up a payment plan to allow students and parents to pay for the trip incrementally over the months leading up to the trip. The total cost of the trip will be £275 and this can be divided into 4 instalments. We require the first £55 payment on or before the 3rd October to secure the hotel. We will leave Liverpool Lime Street on Thursday 29th January*approx. 8.30 am by train and return on Saturday the 31st of January approx. 4 pm*, where students are to make their own way home from Liverpool Lime Street. We will be staying at The Royal National Hotel London (8-51 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0DG) a short walk from London Euston Station and a cooked breakfast is included with this stay. Students will be in private rooms which sleep 2 to 3 students.
Payments can be made by Wisepay on or before the following dates:

-£55 ' 9th January 2026
-£40- (Monday) 26th January 2026

Students will visit the following locations and we will use the Underground to travel between locations (subject to change due to availability or final costings):
Day One
• The National Portrait Gallery
• The Natural History Museum
• Tower of London
• Evening Meal in the Hard Rock Café (included in price)
Day2
• Cooked Breakfast Hotel
• Tate Modern
• Lunch at Boxpark Shoreditch
• Museum (Special Paid Exhibition- TBC)
• Covent Garden Independent time and evening meal.

Day 3
• Cooked Breakfast Hotel
• The British Museum
• Leicester Square for independent time and Lunch

Students need to be at Lime Street for 8.00 am* and meet outside Boots in Lime Street station. Students will have the opportunity to purchase their own food in London or they may bring food and drinks with them, Breakfast is included in the price as well as a meal at the Hard Rock Café on the Thursday evening. Students must wear clothing and footwear suitable for walking all day, and ensure they have a waterproof jacket/coat.
Please make your first payment of £60 via Wisepay by Friday 3 October, and reply giving your consent to the 2 email address below. More specific information will be provided closer to the time.
