From Friday 10th January 2025, we will be taking Year 5 children to de Stafford for swimming tuition on
Friday afternoons, as part of their PE Curriculum. The children will swim in their class, split into two
groups, led by three qualified swimming instructors.
The first class will leave school at approximately 12.30pm, having a slightly earlier start to their lunchtime.
The second class will leave school at approximately 1pm. The children will have a 30 minute lesson with
the swimming instructors, and will have exclusive use of the pool.
A voluntary contribution of £2.50 weekly or £30.00 termly is required to cover the hire of the
pool and the instructors, this can be paid via Wisepay. Please contact the school office should you have
any questions.
The children should wear their PE kits to school, and will need to bring their swimming kits in a waterproof
bag.
The kit should consist of:
- swimming costumes or trunks (no bikinis or long shorts)
- a towel
- goggles (not compulsory)
- swimming hat (and all earrings removed)
