The Duke of Edinburgh award is a recognised mark of achievement, respected by employers as a way of demonstrating essential skills for life and work. It also offers an opportunity to discover new interests and talents. As part of the award you will volunteer, learn a new skill, do physical exercise and undertake an expedition.

Loreto is an all-inclusive college, and wants to ensure that anyone interested in doing DofE can do so. For this reason, the College subsidises the cost of completing DofE and so we ask for just £95 payment.

The £95 costs for enrolling on Duke of Edinburgh at Loreto are roughly broken down as:
- £35 for registration fee which goes to DofE Northwest
- £60 to contribute towards transport/equipment/accommodation costs for three trips over the year.

Initially, only a £35 deposit is required to book your place.
