The Media and Journalism department is reliant on Course Material Costs to update and maintain resources that are available to the students while they are studying at college. Over the years we have been able to provide lighting, and audio equipment along with camera rigs to enhance the skillset of the learners and the quality of their productions. The Adobe Software is accessible at home and class stationary and resources for the final exhibition are purchased to ensure the celebration of their final work is effective. This is only possible with the payment of £50 per student to maintain the equipment and resources.
Course cost covers the following:
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Outside speakers
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Upkeep of current equipment (SD cards, batteries, green-room resources)
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Updating equipment (lighting, lapel mics, tascams, etc)
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Keyboard maintenance
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Update of software, including Premiere Pro
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Classroom stationary
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Exhibition resources; magazine and poster printing, card, blue tac
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬¢ Media/Journalism materials; including special effects make-up
Your children will benefit from the equipment and resources purchased from payments made by previous students. To ensure this continues to benefit Media and Journalism students we ask that a contribution of £25 is paid into Wisepay by Friday 31st October 2025, to pay for equipment that your son/daughter will need to use on the course.
If you think your son/daughter is entitled to Bursary please complete the Bursary paperwork in the enrolment pack and ensure it is submitted to the Admission Team in August so that the paperwork can be processed and a bursary payment made on their behalf.
