Dear Parent/Carer
NEA Data Collection 'Coastal Landscapes and Change†Trip to Seaford and Newhaven on Thursday 3rd July 2025
Students have recently participated in two practice fieldwork trips to Seaford/Newhaven and Stratford to help them choose their preferred coursework topic on which they will write their NEA (Non-Examined Assessment). Wednesday was NEA Day at school when students decided their chosen topic for their coursework: Coastal Landscapes and Change or Regenerating Places.
For students who have chosen Coastal Landscapes and Change:
A day trip has been arranged to Seaford and Newhaven on Thursday 3rd July 2025. Mr Kinder and I will meet students at school and depart by school minibus at 8.30 a.m. travelling to Seaford and Newhaven for students to collect the NEA Data needed to write their coursework and then return to school by 5.00 p.m. (the time will largely be dictated by students data collection and traffic to/from the fieldwork sites). Students will need to wear comfortable clothes and footwear suitable for walking around the coast. Students will need to bring pens, pencils and a packed lunch with drinks.
The charge of using the school minibus will be £5.20 per student.
All students participating in this visit MUST complete the consent form below;
