Our summer music festival & HiJAC; (Highworth's July Alternative Concert) takes place on
Tuesday 1 July and everyone is invited to attend. Most of the Music Department;s
ensembles are performing alongside our brilliant bands and contemporary artists; it is set to
be a fantastic show with some joyful, classic tunes. The event starts at 4.30pm on the
playing field (weather dependent!) and we anticipate it finishing at approximately 7.00pm. It
is free to attend and you are welcome to bring a picnic. There will also be snacks and ice
creams for sale, along with a face painting stall and book sale with all of the proceeds going
towards our winter production of The Sound of Music. There will be chairs available and
spaces for picnic blankets if you prefer to bring them. We hope you can join us at one of our
favourite events to round off a brilliant year of music-making at Highworth.Â
As part of our fundraising efforts at this event, we are holding a raffle with some fantastic
prizes. These include a hot air balloon ride, afternoon tea for two at Frasers, a voucher for
Montalbano's Italian Restaurant in Tenterden, a family ticket for the Kent and East Sussex
Railway and tickets for the Southern Model Show in Headcorn and fireworks evening.
Tickets will be available to purchase at HiJAC or in advance on WisePay. One ticket costs £5
or you can buy two tickets for £8 or three for £10. We hope you will be able to support this
fundraising effort and that you will be successful in winning a fabulous prize!
