Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition, London: Wed 2nd July 2025
Year 10 Art students to visit the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition. Each summer, the galleries are jam-packed with contemporary art made by artists from all walks of life. A world-famous show unlike any other, the Summer Exhibition draws together works by internationally renowned artists, exciting new talent and first-time exhibitors. In its will be the 257th year of the event, which has been held annually since 1769 and is the world's largest open-submission art show. With over 1,200 works on display, students will gather evidence of primary source artwork, explore contemporary painting, drawing, film, sculpture, photography, and architecture towards their 60% portfolio. It will also prove to be a fun and creative experience. It is an immensely popular annual event and we managed to secure tickets and coach travel at a reduced price. Together with this show there will be a walking tour of nearby galleries.
