Consent for Sports Fixtures 2024-25
Dear Parent / Carers,

There are many opportunities for students to participate in a variety of Sports Fixtures throughout the year. We require your consent for your son/daughter to join these fixtures. You can, if you wish, tell the school that you do not want your child to take part in any particular Sports Fixture.

Consent should be made on line through WisePay via the school website If you need help logging into WisePay please contact Student Hub by email on [email protected] or telephone 01935 811082. All payments and permissions should be made on WisePay. Once your child has been signed up a confirmation screen with a reference number will be displayed back to you and an email Confirmation will also be sent to your email address. Please note that if you do not receive this confirmation e mail, your permission has not been recorded. Please check that permission and payment has been made correctly and that you have received the confirmation email, without this your child will not be able to attend.
Please note that by selecting "Purchase" you are providing parental consent for your child to attend off-site sporting fixtures during and outside of the school day including travel by school transport. Confirmation of a successful transaction will be sent to your email address automatically from WisePay.

Parents/carers will be informed by email about each Sports Fixture your child will be involved in.

If your son / daughter may need to take medication (e.g. epipen, insulin, concerta etc) during the Sports Fixture, please ensure they bring this with them on the day. It is your responsibility as the parent to ensure the medication is clearly labelled with your child's name, dosage and timings required and is handed to the Fixture Leader. Please notify the Fixture Leader if the medication needs to be administered by a trained member of staff. We have recently been advised by the school nurse that students with epipens should have at least two epipens on any Sports Fixture, one on their person and one to be handed in to the Fixture Leader. If they do not have two epipens, they will not be able to go on the Sports Fixture.

Finally, please ensure that the school holds the correct medical and emergency contact details. Details of the school's travel insurance policy for pupils can be found within the "Trips & Visits" area of WisePay.

Please log on to your child's WisePay account and consent if you are happy for your child:

a) To take part in Sports Fixtures that take place off school premises; and
b) To be given first aid or urgent medical treatment during any Sports Fixture

Yours Sincerely
Alan Cummings
Head of PE
