MAS Environmental Science Y1 Trip to Woodbury Common and The River Otter

An essential part of the Year 1 Environmental Science is gaining first-hand experience in a wide range of fieldwork sampling methods. To meet the requirements of the specification, students need to experience collecting samples in the field and using lab techniques to undertake standardised analysis of the samples. To further develop these areas of skill, we will be visiting Woodbury Common, near Exeter, to undertake vegetative sampling and the River Otter, at Otterton, to take water samples. We will be travelling by coach.

DATE Each teaching group will undertaking the trip on a specific day, please see below:

Mon 14thOct (IB & DX1a)
Tues 15thOct (DX5 & DX2)
Thurs 17thOct (DX1b & DX4)

Meet at the Maths and Science Building, Lower Ground Floor at 8.30am. Return by 4.30pm to College.
