Next week, beginning on the 22nd of April, Cancer Research UK and the Sports Department will be trying to
raise awareness of the effects of cancer by getting pupils to wear a sports top instead of their usual PE kit.
Not only will we be making our pupils aware of how the charity changes people's lives (especially looking at
Bowel Cancer) but we will also be trying to raise as much money as possible ourselves for the Bobby Moore
Fund. Therefore, we would like to invite pupils to wear their favourite sports top to their PE lessons and
invite everyone to make a voluntary contribution to this great cause if you are able.
So, week beginning Monday 22nd April 2024 in PE lessons, pupils should wear their normal PE kit but can, if
they wish, choose to wear a sports top of their choice instead of their PE shirt.
It could be from any sport, from a top of the league Arsenal shirt; to an NBA basketball vest; or a re-
emerging England Union team rugby shirt; or even an Aussie cricket top! And if you're not a fan of any
particular team but still want to participate, don't worry, you could just wear an alternative sports top to
show you're supporting Cancer Research and the Bobby Moore Fund.
