Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to inform you of our upcoming RAG Week events which will be taking place in the last week of term from Monday 24th March until Thursday 28th March. The Sixth Form students are working hard to arrange an exciting week of events to raise as much money as possible for their chosen charities.

This year, the Sixth Form students will be donating money raised equally between Cancer Research UK and Lives Not Knives to support the commendable work they do for those in need.

Please find attached to this email a powerpoint which outlines the series of events taking place during the week including pie the teacher, pizza sale and the photo booth to name but a few. Events will cost between 50p to £2 so please do remind your students to bring any cash they can spare to support these worthwhile causes.

The Sixth Form College are organising a cake sale on Wednesday 27th March. Cakes will be sold during break and lunch on Wednesday outside the Sixth Form Centre. We are looking for cake donations - students can bring any donations to the Sixth Form Centre on Wednesday morning.

On Thursday 28th March, main school students will have the opportunity to wear their own clothes as part of a non-uniform day and we would ask for a voluntary contribution via Wisepay of £1.

Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and for a school environment. This includes;

No tops with offensive/overtly suggestive slogans

Extremely short skirts/shorts

Clothing which is particularly revealing (Crop tops/Bare midriff/strappy vest tops) or which is very tight

Please note that students should also ensure they follow school expectations as normal on the day including relating to mobile phone use and being prepared for their lessons. This means that all students will be expected to have their school bags, books and equipment for each timetabled lesson that day. This includes PE kit if required. In addition, any jewellery worn is the responsibility of the students it it will need to be removed if the student has a PE or DT lesson, for Health and Safety reasons.

Sixth Form students and staff will be dressing up in ‘back to school' attire on the final day of term.

Please note we reserve the right to amend these plans, if necessary, which would be communicated in a timely manner.

We look forward to seeing our school community come together in our final week of term to participate in these exciting events organised by the Sixth Form students and to celebrate and support the hard work of our chosen charities.

Yours sincerely

Sixth Form Students and Team
