Volunteer Safeguarding Training Spring Term 2024
Reigate Priory is a busy learning community so there are many ways to lend a helping hand. This can include listening to children read, supporting Year Group cooking sessions, being a librarian to keep the library tidy and organised or even helping outside to maintain our playground and green spaces. Maybe even a skill or interest that could contribute to the learning or even a new club?

As a regular volunteer ' weekly or three or more times in a month ' you will need to attend one of the ‘Volunteer Safeguarding Training' sessions arranged throughout the academic year, before beginning your volunteering in school.
The session includes information on volunteering at Reigate Priory including that related to safeguarding, Fire and Lockdown procedures, how to obtain DBS (Disclosure Barring System) clearance and next steps to making your offer of help happen.

Once clearance has been received, parents and carers will be contacted by their child's class teacher (or other relevant member of staff) and invited to begin their volunteering. Due to updates in school operation and safeguarding, training will be valid for one year and need to be repeated.

Those wishing to volunteer on a regular basis should attend one of the following Safeguarding Training sessions selected from the drop down box below:
