This overnight excursion aims to provide our students with a unique opportunity to experience the cultural and educational richness of London.
The primary objectives of this trip are to expose our health and social care students to:
• Real-world healthcare environments
• Cultural diversity in healthcare practices
• Integration of theoretical knowledge with practical experiences
• The historical context of health and social care
The planned itinerary, priced at an affordable £240 per student, includes:
1. Tickets to a West End Show: Students will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of theatre with tickets to a renowned West End show. This cultural experience not only serves as a moment of entertainment but also fosters an appreciation for the arts, enhancing their overall educational journey.

2. Evening Meal: An evening meal is planned to provide students with a social setting to relax and reflect on their experiences. This communal activity encourages interaction among students, fostering a sense of camaraderie and creating lasting memories outside the classroom.

3. Tour of the Florence Nightingale Museum: The tour of the Florence Nightingale Museum offers students a captivating journey into the history of nursing and healthcare. Engaging exhibits and artifacts provide valuable insights into the evolution of healthcare practices, allowing students to connect theoretical knowledge with the rich tapestry of medical history.

4. Anaesthesia Museum Group Visit: This hands-on experience at the Anaesthesia Museum enables students to explore the fascinating world of anaesthesia. Through interactive displays and historical artifacts, students gain a deeper understanding of the advancements in medical technology and the role of anaesthesia in healthcare.

5. Time to Explore London: A dedicated period for students to explore London independently ensures a personalised experience. Whether it's wandering through vibrant neighbourhoods, discovering hidden gems, or engaging with local culture, this time allows students to tailor part of their trip to their individual interests. In addition, British Museum and Houses of Parliament dependant on time.

6. Return train fare from Manchester to London Euston and London travel cards.

7. Accommodation: Royal National Hotel (B&B) ' Shared triple rooms with private bathroom
