AD - Florence Trip 2024

Our destination for our 2024 residency will be Florence, Italy. The trip includes 4 nights in Florence. Accommodation will be shared between students, and all are single sex rooms. The cost includes breakfast ONLY. There are no refreshments or evening meals included in the price.
The price will be £625.

There is also an individual Florence City Tax of 25 euros payable on arrival at the hotel. This is paid directly to the hotel by the student.

The dates for travel are Monday 26th February to Friday 1st March (5 days/4 nights). The initial deposit will be £225. This deposit is non-refundable. This will secure the students' place on the tour. There will be a further two payments to be made of £200 and £200 The £225 deposit will secure the students' place on the tour.
AGAIN, PLEASE NOTE THE £225 DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

You can the pay in instalments up to Thursday 7th December 2023. The trip must be paid in full, and all payments will be through college's WisePay system. Any personal changes to bookings will incur a £150 administration fee. This is set by the travel agent and not college.
There are only 50 places. Students will be accompanied by 4/5 tutors. Like most years, the trip should be over-subscribed. If this is the case again, we will have a waiting list should any places become available.

Students who have any financial assistance at college are advised to contact the college bursary office through their own eILP (Electronic Individual Learning Program) page.

THE PERMISSIONS FORM MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE TRIP LEADER AS SOON AS PAYMENT IS MADE. WITHOUT THIS, WE CANNOT PROCESS THE PAYMENT AND THE PLACE WILL BE CANCELLED

• Return coach from Exeter College to Bristol
• Return flights to Florence.
• Coach transfers in Italy
• Breakfast only
• Coach excursion to Siena
• Coach excursion to Pisa
• Guided tour of the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum
• Visit to Museo di Palazzo Vecchio

Our place of accommodation will be Florence Hotel Golf

Further Information

Passports
Every student must have a current valid passport that is no older than 10 years and expires no earlier than 3 months after our departure date from Italy.
Any student NOT travelling on a British issued passport must contact the Italian Immigration Authorities for further information. This will be the responsibility of the student, not the college although we will try to advise students in this situation.

While In Italy
As with any college trip or residency, students are representative of Exeter College and are to observe college rules that are listed in their college contract. There will be times when students are unsupervised, and we expect them to behave in an appropriate manner as befitting Exeter College students. If students seriously misbehave, we will have no option but to escort them home and any excess costs will be charged to parents/guardians. Students' health and safety is our utmost priority, we appreciate all parents/guardians putting their trust in college leaders.
Meeting

When all deposits are in, the trip leader will hold an online meeting for parents/guardians with any concerns or questions they may have.

FINALLY, A REMINDER AGAIN THAT THE £225 DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN RELEVANT INFORMATION ON HOW TO PAY BEFORE PAYMENT OPTIONS GO LIVE.
