IT device loan agreement

Context:

Inspire Education Group is committed to enabling student's equal opportunity to access their study program
by maximising the use of e-learning technology. The Laptop/Chromebook scheme is intended to enable
students to regularly adopt learning technology in their learning practice.

Things you need to know:

• The device has been lent to you on a loan basis and must be returned to us no later than June 27th
2023 (the last day of the academic year).
• The device is issued to you whilst you remain a student at College and must be returned if you leave
or finish college before June 27th 2023.
• You will be liable for the full cost of a replacement device if the loan device is lost; stolen; or damaged
to the point it is unsuitable for redistribution to another student.
• You must not lend your device to anyone else - including other students.
• The device may be recalled for maintenance or redistribution at any time.
• You must return the device if requested to do so.
• You must not attempt to remove barcode labels, stickers or other labels that identify the device.
• You may not use the device for commercial or personal use - the device is for college work only.
• DO NOT LEAVE THE EQUIPMENT UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME
• If the equipment develops a fault, contact the IT Services team ' do not attempt to repair it yourself.
• All loan devices can be remotely blocked, and rendered unusable by the IT Services Team

Staying Safe Online

The college is aware that a proportion of students' learning will be conducted remotely, therefore online
activity at home will not be subject to the college's web filtering system and college security systems.
Students can find out more information about staying safe online by accessing the information on The
Student Hub, or speaking to your Student Mentor.

How to Collect Your Device (tick once read)

Thank you for paying your Laptop deposit. To collect your device you need to go to the Library at the college you study at and present your proof of payment receipt to the advisor at the main desk. They will then issue you with your device. Please make sure you remember your ID bade as this needs to be scanned so that device can be loaned out to you. If you do not have your ID badge or proof you have paid your deposit, the Library will not be able to issue your device.
