Warlingham School Fund
Government funding for Education is extremely tight and all schools are currently facing financial pressures. As a school we continue to lobby the government through the Worth Less? Campaign, which represents 7,000 head teachers across the country. However, we are very reliant on parental and other donations to fund projects, additional curriculum resources, modern technology and specialist equipment that the school would not normally be able to afford. Over the years our parents have been incredibly generous and have invested over £500,000 to enhance the enjoyment and experience of our students as well as providing them with opportunities not usually available in schools. Providing such opportunities will be increasingly difficult without ongoing financial support.
We believe that all children benefit from a broad and exciting curriculum which provides increased opportunities for success, enhanced motivation and self-confidence. We are keen to provide high quality resources across the whole curriculum to ensure that our children benefit from every opportunity at each stage of their education. Our parents play a large part in helping us to create an environment which promotes and supports learning through contributions to our School Fund. The School Fund is wholly funded by contributions from parents and other donators and gives every penny it receives to the students of Warlingham School. The parental contributions are gift aided, so the Government automatically adds 25% ' therefore for every £10,000 donated we actually get £12,500 to spend!
Your contribution to the Warlingham School Fund, of just £7.50 per month, will be invested in your son or daughter's future and helping to make sure that Warlingham School is not simply a good school but a great one that provides opportunities and experiences that make an important and positive difference in the development of our students.
