School Building Fund Donation

As a Catholic primary school we belong to the wider Portsmouth Diocesan family of schools and parishes. Being a Christian community we have a duty to support each other and to share our resources where we can.

In order to help with the rising costs of maintaining and improving all the school buildings throughout the diocese, a scheme was started in which all schools and parishes were asked to contribute to a central buildings fund.

Schools are asked to send an amount to the Diocesan Schools Building Fund each term. This is based on the number of pupils in the school. When a school carries out any major building work that has been approved by the Diocese then they can make a claim against the fund to help meet some of the costs. Depending on the amount of work needing to be carried out some years we may claim more than we contribute, other years less.

Once we have paid the agreed amount into the Diocesan Fund any remainder will be used within the school to support other building or repair projects for which other funding is not available.

How You Can Help
Parents are asked to make a voluntary donation of only £2.50 per month per child (or £30.00 per annum), or as much as they can manage (especially for large families). It is hoped that everyone will be able to donate something.

Tax can be reclaimed by the school on all donations from taxpayers at no cost to the donor. If you pay tax please consider completing the Gift Aid section of the form overleaf or via Wisepay. Thank you.
