This course will run over three weeks for 2 hours per week in an evening 6 -8pm. The first two weeks will
be held through our virtual Google Classroom and the final week will be held in college. This course is very
practical and has been designed to assist businesses that have never sold online do so. In these uncertain
times being able to continue to trade, communicate and process orders remotely and online will not only aid
companies to be able to sustain more business continuity but even allow expansion of their industry market.
The course will cover from start to finish topics such as taking payments, stock inventory and even
promotion through social media.
The course content will provide an introduction to what E-Commerce is and who it is suitable for, followed
by a discussion of different appropriate solutions available, with a focus on Shopify. It will identify types of
products, thinking of and applying appropriate attributes to them and creating multiple variants The final
week will cover advertisement covering basic social media and a brief look into SEO. This will be followed up
with choosing the right payment gateway and setting it up properly. The session will finish with performing
checks to make sure that the site is transactional and ready to go live
