Expression of Interest for Music Lessons - Infant School Pupils

Nottingham High School offers instrumental lessons across all year groups, from Reception through to Year
13. We welcome beginners as well as students with existing experience.

Expressing an interest in individual or paired lessons during the admissions process enables us to prepare
for your child's arrival at the school and we will be in touch with you shortly before the student starts to
advise of the arrangements. Payment is then made using WisePay on the first Friday of each term for the
term ahead, in line with school fees.

School can arrange instrument hire for the following instruments subject to availability: flute, clarinet,
oboe, French horn, trombone, trumpet, double bass, violin. For all other instruments we can provide
guidance on where to hire or buy an instrument.

At the start of each academic year lessons will start from the first day back, with the exception of
Reception and also Year 7s, who do not start individual music until the second Thursday . Thereafter, music
lessons continue from the first day of each term. Students can expect to receive 30 lessons over the course
of the whole academic year, with additional lessons being agreed and paid for in advance.

Once started, lessons continue throughout all years of the school until notice is served. During the very
first term of lessons parents may cancel with immediate notice; from the start of the second term of
lessons one term's notice is required and this notice must be served on or before the first day of the term
in which the notice is to run. You will be able to use WisePay to give notice at the same time as making
