Dear parent/carer,

The NSPCC visited our school and delivered their Speak out. Stay safe. assembly to share information with your child about how they can keep themselves safe from harm and get help if they have any worries.
It was a very worthwhile and empowering session for both pupils and teachers. They spoke to the children and staff about the valuable work they do across the country, and talked about how important it is for everyone in our school community to join them in their ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢â€šÂ¬ÃÆ'‹Å'fight for every childhood'.
But, as a charity, they can only provide these vital resources thanks to the financial support and generosity of their supporters.
That's why Upton Infant School is raising money to help the NSPCC's work in schools
I am delighted to say that our school has chosen to support the valuable work of the NSPCC
this term by taking part in a fundraising event, and I would really value your support and encouragement.

How your children can have fun ' and make a massive difference
Your children can make a massive difference by taking part in our sponsored NSPCC event:
Upton Infant School Dance-a-thon on Wednesday
7th February 2018
which will not only be exciting for our pupils but will also mean they're raising money for the NSPCC's vital work and helping keep even more children safe.
The children have been given sponsorship forms and it would be wonderful if you would allow and encourage them to safely collect sponsors through friends and family by signing the form. After the activity they can bring the sponsorship envelopes with the money back to school where they can post them in NSPCC post boxes which will be collected after half term.
Every child that attended the assembly today will receive a thank you in the form of a Speak out. Stay safe. Buddy sticker and all children who take part in the sponsored Danceathon will receive a colourful Buddy badge. We want them to wear it with pride. They will also be given a ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢â€šÂ¬ÃÆ'‹Å'Thank you' assembly to show how much the NSPCC value their contribution and ways in which they use the money raised to help other children.
Together you and your children can be proud of the fact that every penny raised makes a significant difference for children. By supporting the NSPCC we can work together to end child abuse.
If you'd like to know more about the NSPCC's work, or take a look at the wide range of information and advice which is available for parents and carers, please visit their website nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/keeping-children-safe/
Yours sincerely,

Upton Infant School
